Green World empowers youths

A NEW initiative aimed at empowering youths and promoting organic farming is set to boost economic opportunities in Mutare, following its launch by health and wellness company, Green World International Group.
The programme targets young people with business opportunities requiring minimal start-up capital, offering sustainable income streams through product distribution and agribusiness involvement.
Green World brand ambassador, Mr Tendai Chinoperekwei, said the initiative addresses unemployment among young people by creating alternative income streams.
The company will equip farmers with innovative organic farming solutions, promoting sustainable agriculture practices.
“Young people face serious challenges when it comes to employment. This platform allows them to become entrepreneurs, build networks, and earn a living without waiting for formal jobs. This opportunity changed my life. Now we are bringing the same opportunity to youths in Mutare so they can also become financially independent,” he said.
Beyond youth empowerment, the programme is also introducing farmers to a new range of organic-based agricultural products designed to improve productivity while preserving soil health.
They are encouraging farmers to adopt a balanced approach that integrates organic inputs with conventional methods. The organic solutions include plant-based supplements and soil-enhancing products that aim to boost crop yields naturally while maintaining long-term soil fertility.
“Farmers no longer have to choose between organic and synthetic fertilisers. We are providing products that help them combine the two effectively for better results. The product works effectively when combined with synthetic basal and top-dressing fertilisers, and can be integrated with other organic farming methods,” said Mr Chinoperekwei.
With over 30 years of experience in research, development, and manufacturing, Green World produces a wide range of health and agricultural products, including dietary supplements, herbal formulations, and organic farming inputs.
The initiative only improves agricultural output, but also creates a new generation of young entrepreneurs in Mutare, bridging the gap between farming, health, and business.
As the programme gains momentum, it is positioning itself as a practical solution to unemployment and low agricultural productivity, offering both youths and farmers a pathway to sustainable growth.
A member of the organisation, Miss Pamela Taderera, said the organisation is actively engaging young people to steer them away from social challenges.
“Our organisation is helping youths, including unemployed graduates and those vulnerable to drug abuse. We are inviting them to join the business so they can earn an income and improve their standard of living. Many have already benefited through this programme,” she said.
A beneficiary, Mr Kudakwashe Nhauke, urged fellow youths to embrace business opportunities.
“I joined the company in Bulawayo after completing my studies. I encourage young people in Zimbabwe to engage in business instead of turning to drugs. Green World also provides health products that can assist those struggling with addiction,” he said.-herald
