ZSE rebounds as Innscor surges

The ZSE rebounded in Tuesday’s session as conglomerate Innscor led the market surge on a 13.31% jump to close at a vwap of $24.4931 having traded an intraday high of $25.5500. The primary All Share Index put on 0.81% to close at 1,520.83pts while, the Industrial Index added 0.83% to 5,020.14pts.

The ZSE Top Ten Index put on 1.09% to 986.75pts while, the Mining Index rose 0.12% to 3,404.39pts.

Banking group NMB advanced 7.41% to $2.9000 while, spirits and wines manufacturer AFDIS improved 5.26% to $20.0000 on paltry shares. Conglomerate Meikles ticked up 3.23% to $16.0000 while, Ariston completed the top five gainers of the day on a 1.85% lift to
$1.3240.

Headlining the fallers of the day was SeedCo Limited which succumbed 11.34% to $15.0723 while, hotelier African Sun trimmed 7.21% to end pegged at $1.7167. Brick manufacturer Willdale let go 7.08% to settle at $0.2230 while, General Beltings shed 3.88% to $0.1634.

Proplastics capped the top five shakers of the day on a 0.93% loss to $5.6474. Risers’ and fallers’ spectrum was equally distributed at eleven apiece.

Volumes surged 902.74% to 33.25m while, turnover ballooned 1,940.92% to $436.56m. A special bargain in banking group CBZ contributed a hefty 85.82% to the value outturn as other counters scrambled for a remaining 14.18%. The
volume aggregate was anchored by Turnall and CBZ with respective contributions of 48.48% and 26.20%.

Foreign inflows claimed 87.31% of turnover while, outflows accounted for 8.12% of the same.-EFE Securities
