Destined for Greatness: Your Tuesday morning Inspiration with Gerald Chinogara:  Your Purpose for Life

The intentional life that pursues a supreme purpose begins with passion. This is the foundation that drives people to progressively pursue worthy ideals. The foundation must be strong to build anything lasting. Passion addresses the biblical issue of where you have placed your heart, love, trust and your sufficiency. For a child of God you should find your passion from the endower of new life, the energizer of new motivations, the Lord Jesus Christ.

God wants us to take in the light of His word and live it out. But to do it, we must choose it. For most of us schedules, deadlines, urgencies, and emergencies crowd out our determination to refresh our heart and mind with Scripture. We burn out because we fix our minds not on God but on our difficulties. Overcoming busyness require turning your thoughts to God which open up your mind and emotions to Him. When we move at the pace of the culture around us, it creates nervousness, tension and stress all of which lead to burn out. God has an unhurried pace.

The more we look for God’s principles, through His word, the more we become acquainted with Him. Peace will come when you focus on His kindness, compassion and His watchful care. Understanding and appreciating the spiritual light of God’s word motivates us to choose God as the passion of our life. His presence has roots that reach down deeper than what we say and do. It reaches into our hearts; the treasure house of who we are, how we’re wired, what we value and transforms us from the inside out. His Word prompts us to think differently, to see more clearly, and to be stirred to greater measures of concern, helpfulness, and lovingkindness. When your mind is stayed on Him walking in the light of the God becomes a way of life with far reaching rewards that echo into eternity.
