ZNCC engages Zida on investors interaction

ZIMBABWE National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) has collaborated with the Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency (Zida) in a bid to create a more conducive business environment for local and international investors.

Zida is an investment agency responsible for both local and international investments in the country while ZNCC is a representative body that is responsible for linking industries, policymakers, and different Government departments in the country.

ZNCC president Mr Mike Kamungeremu told Business Chronicle that the organisation frequently engages Zida to share investment information on new opportunities available for local and foreign investors.

“We have a number of investors that are coming to partner with our local people and we do refer them to Zida to provide the necessary documentation required.”

“As ZNCC, we are also running state of industry and commerce surveys and some of the information that we gather relates to investor confidence.
“After gathering the information, we relay it to Zida so that whatever investors feel needs to be improved, Zida can work on it,” he said.

In April, Zida also signed a collaboration agreement with the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) in areas of ease of doing business, investment opportunities, investor-related services, and the creation of value chains.

Meanwhile, ZNCC has commended the Government’s efforts to modernise infrastructure in different parts of the country, saying that the move will improve investor confidence.
