Zimbabwe showcases rich culture in Washington DC
ZIMBABWE’s vibrant cultural heritage took center stage in the United States during the Zimbabwe Culture Day in Washington DC.
The event, held at the Embassy of Zimbabwe, attracted nearly 70 participants eager to experience the country’s traditions, artistry, and hospitality.
Organised in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) and ThingstodoDC — a well-known networking event organiser, the cultural showcase featured a lively blend of traditional music, authentic Zimbabwean cuisine and valuable networking opportunities.
In a statement, ZTA indicated the event’s success in promoting Zimbabwe as a top travel destination.
“The event attracted 67 participants from diverse backgrounds, including the business community, all eager to learn about Zimbabwe’s rich culture.
“Guests were treated to a captivating exhibition gallery showcasing Zimbabwean sculptures, cultural artefacts and our national fabric.
“The event provided a platform to engage with participants, highlight top travel destinations and showcase the country’s unique cultural offerings.
“It also created opportunities for potential partnerships, with many guests expressing enthusiasm about visiting Zimbabwe in the future,” ZTA said.
With an immersive display of Zimbabwean heritage, the event reinforced the country’s appeal as a cultural and tourism hub, fostering deeper connections with the international community.-chronicle
