Zimbabwe Business Expo set for Bulawayo

THE second edition of the Zimbabwe Business Expo geared at showcasing the country’s immense potential and capabilities in the manufacturing, production and services sector is scheduled for March in Bulawayo.

Vice-President Cde Kembo Mohadi will headline the expo.

Part of the broader objectives of the expo is to celebrate the achievements of players in implementing the policies and reward and encourage excellence, in practice and ethics, in the industry.

It also seeks to provide a platform for players in various sectors to meet and create networks beneficial for the development of the nation through its policies and also to ignite interest in ordinary Zimbabweans in their learning, everyday life and employment for the betterment of their lives.

Reads part of the concept note: “The Second Republic has inculcated a culture of hard work and productivity and we expect that at the second edition, the appetite to exhibit will be even greater than before.

“We would like to acknowledge the efforts of individuals and organisations who have excelled, been innovative and have contributed meaningfully to the development of our nation through our countries policy creating a middle- income economy by 2030.

“To this effect, there will be a Business Expo Ceremony which will take place annually. The first one was held in 2016 and was an oversubscribed success, which was officially launched by His Excellency President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa.”

The concept note further adds that the Zimbabwe Business Expo is a traditional way to market various products, services and business.

With advances in social media marketing and internet technology, companies may feel as though exhibitions and trade shows are outdated, but this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Therefore, by participating at the expo, businesses stand to increase their brand awareness.

“An exhibition stand will help your company get noticed, as it’s the perfect opportunity to get directly in front of your target audience.

“You can show off exactly what your brand can offer and boost your business image, gain exposure and draw attention to yourselves,” the organisers noted.

Another stand-out benefit is face-to-face marketing.

“When it comes to influencing someone’s decision, nothing can compete with face-to-face interaction.

“This type of communication is one of the most powerful and successful marketing tools and showcasing your company has to offer at an exhibition is one platform that allows you to interact with potential customers in person.”

The organisers added that every industry is constantly changing for a variety of reasons and Zimbabwe Business Expo is a great place to find out and develop further on the latest trends in your industry.

“This event will help your business remain as a key contender in the market, allowing you to take note of the current industry changes (by keeping an eye on competitors and their latest releases).

“Just remember rather than copying your competitors, you can use this as an opportunity to further expand on those current trends.”-chronicle
