YOUTH Network Connect to explore opportunities in Bulawayo and enhance local production

YOUTH Network Connect has expressed the willingness by local entrepreneurs to explore opportunities in Bulawayo and enhance local production in a bid to improve the province and the national economy.

This was said during the entrepreneurship and business awards event held by the organization in Bulawayo on the 4th of November 2023.

The event which was running under the theme, “Unlocking Sustainable Investment Opportunities through Entrepreneurship”, provided an opportunity and a platform for entrepreneurs, business owners, industrial professionals and students to network and share business ideas.

Youth Network Connect managing director Mr Philimon Nyirenda said the mission of the event was to share new local economic, developmental trends and opportunities in Bulawayo with the rest of the country.

He said the business awards are a sustainability recognition platform that aim to provide clear insights into sustainability initiatives, demonstrating broad-wide company commitments to addressing the issues that matter most, and fostering meaningful change to the country.

“This year’s entrepreneurship conference was inserting Bulawayo back into the story of economic power redistribution. We want to explore how we, as entrepreneurs, can best position ourselves to see a more prosperous future for the province, said Mr Nyirenda.

“The business and entrepreneurship event was also an opportune moment to celebrate, reward and support excellence in the local value chains. This will indeed foster the culture of local production and local consumption in order to stimulate inclusive and sustainable growth patterns for higher productivity.

“Each one of us has a responsibility to change the economic landscape of Zimbabwe so that it can benefit all. All of us must work together to give flesh and content to the economic transformation agenda that we are pursuing.”-chronicle
