WOMEN in agriculture and business are expected to host a seminar centred around empowerment and collaboration among women in the agripreneurship sector.
The event is slated for May 3 at the Centre of Total Transformation in Spitzkop and Snake Park, about 20km from Harare.
It aims to unite women from various areas of agriculture and business to share their experiences, insights and strategies for success.
Participants can look forward to gaining valuable knowledge and inspiration from a distinguished line-up of speakers.
Notable speakers include Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister Tatenda Mavetera who will discuss the critical role of technology in modern agriculture.
Other speakers include Ms Sharon Chingwaro, the founder of Mambokadzi, Ms Anna Musiiwa, a tobacco farmer and Mrs Mercy Jowa, a representative from Pick it Fresh Farms.
Founder of Zimbo Agricultural Outreach, Ms Chido Deketeke, said the seminar’s goal is to motivate each other and create a supportive environment for women in agribusiness.
They aim to foster connections, share knowledge, and empower one another.
The event is not just about learning; it also serves as a fundraising initiative.
Funds raised will support agricultural empowerment projects for women and children in the community.
Ms Deketeke said by holding this seminar at the Centre of Total Transformation, they are directly contributing to the community they aim to uplift. Participants will interact with local women, witnessing first-hand the impact of their contributions.
The seminar represents a vital step toward creating a safe space for women to network, exchange ideas, and inspire one another in their business endeavours.-herald
