TicketsBox aims to eliminate inconveniences
TICKETSBox managing director Ruvimbo Chakanetsa says the new firm will eliminate inconveniences and make it easy to get tickets for events.
TicketsBox is an online ticketing platform with international operations.
It was officially launched in Zimbabwe last week, aiming to streamline ticketing for events and simplify the experience for both attendees and organisers.
TicketsBox started operating in Zimbabwe towards the end of last year, with its first major event being the 263 Culture Festival at Belgravia Sports Club, which drew a crowd of about 5 000 attendees.

Revenue in the global merchandise and ticketing market is projected to reach US$271 million by year-end, according to German online statistics platform Statista.
“We know that when people go to events, they deal with long queues, issues with change when purchasing tickets, and even security concerns such as phone theft,” Chakanetsa told NewsDay Business in an interview.
“Our platform eliminates these inconveniences by offering an easy, quick, and secure way to buy tickets.
“A lot of promoters complain about discrepancies in ticket sales, where the number of people attending does not match the revenue collected.
“Our system ensures full accountability by tracking every ticket sale and providing real-time data.”
While Zimbabwe has seen a few online ticketing solutions before, TicketsBox brings a unique set of features designed to enhance efficiency and security.
Each ticket issued comes with a unique QR code that can only be scanned once, reducing the risk of duplication and fraud.
Additionally, the platform offers real-time sales tracking, allowing event organisers to monitor ticket sales on a daily basis.
“Our platform enables organisers to keep an updated database of their attendees, making it easier to reach out to the same audience for future events,” Chakanetsa said.
Unlike traditional ticketing services that charge a flat fee, TicketsBox operates on a commission-based pricing model.
The percentage commission is agreed upon with the event organiser before ticket sales commence, ensuring a fair and flexible arrangement.
Beyond ticketing, TicketsBox offers additional event support services, including two 21-square-meter LED mobile screens.
These high-resolution screens, mounted on trailers, can be moved around venues to enhance visibility for audiences or be used by corporate advertisers.
With a focus on digital convenience, security, and data-driven event management, TicketsBox is set to change how Zimbabweans access and experience live events.
By eliminating traditional ticketing inefficiencies and introducing innovative event solutions, the company is positioning itself as a game-changer in the entertainment industry.
