President Mnangagwa to deliver key note address on Day Two of Zimbabwe Economic Development Conference (ZEDCON), in Victoria Falls

THE third edition of the Zimbabwe Economic Development Conference (ZEDCON) enters day two today in Victoria Falls with President Mnangagwa expected to deliver a key note address.

The conference is being held under the theme “Building Resilience and Driving Economic Transformation under Climate Change.”

It was organised by the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion working in conjunction with other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), development partners and private sector organisations among others.

The Minister of Finance and Economic Development and Investment Promotion, Professor Mthuli Ncube, Government officials, local authorities’ officials and captain of Industry are in attendance.

The conference aims to explore strategies for climate-proofing the economy, building resilience, and driving economic transformation under the impact of climate change.

Topics to be tackled include climate-proofing agricultural production growth, meteorological analysis of climate variability, rainfall patterns and El Nino effects for 2025-2030 and beyond.
