NSSA southern region scoops awards

THE National Social Security Authority (NSSA) Matabeleland region won two accolades last week where its regional manager was recognised as the most influential young business leader in Zimbabwe and the regional office was voted as the First Runner Up in the public sector.

Speaking to Business Chronicle, NSSA Bulawayo regional manager, Ms Sithatshisiwe Khumalo, said the awards mean a lot to the organisation, which was recently rebranded. This was a selection of 40 under 40 years of age business leaders in Zimbabwe as a whole.

The Contact Centre Association of Zimbabwe (CCAZ) is a business annual award for the Southern Region and focuses on customer service excellence.

They were held in Harare.

NSSA was put in the Public Sector category.

“The first award we won, we were voted first runner-up in the public sector category issued by Contact Centre Association of Zimbabwe (CCAZ).

“I am honoured and humbled to be recognised in the 40 under 40 listing by Influential Young Business Leaders in Zimbabwe (ICDZ).

“This is an indication that our drive towards innovation and client service excellence is being appreciated by our stakeholders. This award is a motivation to continuously explore all possible avenues to improve the client experience in all aspects,” she said.

She added that NSSA fosters trust to stakeholders as they are entrusted with the national pension fund.

“We’re going to continue increasing brand visibility, improve company’s morale, help confirm and reinforce to all stakeholders that the turnaround strategy is on track and help attract better skills and talent”, noted Ms Khumalo.

Last year, NSSA participated in different community engagements, especially in the Matabeleland region where mobile health services were offered by the authority.

The authority is also engaged in different empowerment projects meant to improve its client’s livelihoods, where different projects including goat production are being initiated in different parts of the country including Matabeleland. —chronicle
