Mine Entra expo dates announced
THE 26th edition of the premier Mining, Engineering, and Transport Exhibition (Mine Entra Zimbabwe) will be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo between 1 and 3 November.
The specialised expo was initially set for 28-30 June in line with the usual calendar before being shifted.
The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company said this year’s event will be held under the theme: “Accelerating Economic Transformation Through Mineral Beneficiation”.
Organised in partnership with the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development and the Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe, Mine Entra is one of the largest in the Southern African region.
Over the years, the expo has built a solid reputation for providing an integral business and networking platform and it is known for bringing together diverse players in the specialised sectors, providing a pivotal platform for high-level conversations towards shaping and improving the mining landscape in Zimbabwe.
ZITF chief executive officer Dr Nicholas Ndebele said Mine Entra has been at the forefront of showcasing the latest advancements in the mining industry, fostering partnerships, and driving economic growth.
He said the exhibition provides a platform for industry professionals, stakeholders, and investors to explore innovative solutions, share knowledge, and engage in meaningful discourse on the critical topic of mineral beneficiation.
“The ZITF Company is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated dates for its upcoming exhibition, Mine Entra.
“The premier mining, engineering, and transport exhibition in Zimbabwe will be held under the theme” ‘Accelerating Economic Transformation through Mineral Beneficiation’ from 1 to 3 November 2023 at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo,” said Dr Ndebele.
“For the past five years, the Zimbabwe mining industry has been heavily focused on attaining a stable and sustainable US$12 billion in output by 2023, a feat that called for the deliberate contribution and cooperation by all relevant stakeholders to meet this target.
“This fact, together with the key local and international mining industry trends namely, technology transformation, the energy transition, and critical minerals has inspired the Mine Entra 2023 theme.”
Dr Ndebele said the theme calls on industry stakeholders to embrace technology and innovation in their mining processes, bearing in mind the importance of mineral beneficiation for Zimbabwe as a developing country.
He went on to say the theme also highlights how innovative mineral beneficiation has the potential to transform the economy through job creation, higher mining industry profitability, and an increase in direct foreign investment, all in line with the National Development Strategy (NDS1), which is integral in the pursuit of the attainment of Vision 2030.
“The exhibition will maintain the usual three-day format with supporting concurrent events. Attendees can look forward to a comprehensive programme that includes expert-led conferences, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
“Mine Entra 2023 will bring together leading minds, Government officials, industry experts, and investors to explore the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the mining and mineral beneficiation sector,” said Dr Ndebele.
