Indaba to discuss adaptation to rapidly shifting environment

Institute of Public Relations Communication Zimbabwe (IPRCZ) will host a corporate affairs summit from March 26 to 27 at the Montclair Hotel in Nyanga to discuss how companies can navigate an ever-changing environment

The summit will run under the theme “Navigating Complexity, Building Resilience, Shaping perspectives”.

Corporate affairs encompasses the strategic management of a company’s reputation, risk, and trust by building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including government, consumers, investors, and employees

Organisers said the event was strategically designed to equip leaders with essential knowledge on strategies to navigate complex situations, manage uncertainty, and ultimately achieve their corporate goals.

In recent years, leaders in the public relations field have had to quickly adapt and reassess their priorities and strategies to effectively manage the ongoing, perpetual state of crisis that has become the new normal.

The event is expected to attract a diverse range of attendees from various fields including senior executives and managers responsible for public affairs.

The Government relations and corporate communication officers are expected to attend, along with directors of public affairs, as well as crisis communication, corporate communication managers, aspiring, and future leaders looking to enhance their skills in public affairs and government relations.

Brand and product managers, advertising professionals, regulatory authorities, Government officials, ministries, marketing and customer relations professionals, senior administrators, policymakers, and marketing and customer service professionals are expected to grace the event.

The organisers said the event was designed to educate public relations practitioners on the evolving landscape, where corporate affairs leaders have had to adapt rapidly, reassessing their priorities and approaches to navigate what feels like a constant crisis.

“Designed with strategy and tactics at its core, this event will be a catalyst for leaders looking to efficiently navigate complexity, and manage uncertainty all while fulfilling their corporate objectives,” said IPRCZ in a statement.

IPRCZ said the key to future corporate success lies in embracing change, cultivating resilience, and leveraging strategic advantages to drive growth and prosperity.

Founded in March 2018, IPRCZ is a professional body for public relations practitioners and a member of the African Public Relations Association and the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.

It is a private institution that specialises in public relations training, media training, presentation training and communication skills.
