Chinese firm launches products in Zimbabwe

A CHINA-based company, Okest Life Group has introduced its products in Zimbabwe, in a development set to create job opportunities for the locals and boost the local economy.

The company held its first provincial business presentation at the weekend at the Young Women Christian Association of Zimbabwe (YWCA) centre in Bulawayo.

Founded in 1991 with its headquarters in Beijing, Okest Life Group offers a range of nutrition and health products. The company relies on network marketing with a low start-up capital.

The company has been operating in China for the past 33 years and in Africa it was introduced in 2021 when it first began operating in Northern Africa.

One of the company’s directors Mr Mthabisi Nkiwane said the company seeks to create job opportunities by recruiting distributors who will be able to earn a living with the profits they will be making in their everyday sales.

“We are distributors of health products such as womb care tea, multi-vitamin pills among others as well as watches that improve blood circulation and the products are produced in China,” he said.

“For one to officially become a distributor there is a membership fee of US$20, which comes with product samples for free, a business bag, and a badge. Distributors sell products at a retail price and they enjoy 20 percent retail profit.” The company is set to hold its next business presentation on Friday in Harare.-chroncile
