Brain drain hits BAZ
The Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe has lost 25 of its 35 engineers, negatively affecting the implementation of the digitisation project.
This was said by BAZ acting chief executive officer Engineer Matthias Chakanyuka when he appeared before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services.
He said apart from the loss of expertise, the slow disbursement of funds had also delayed completion of the project.
The digitisation project began in 2015 and was supposed to be completed in 2017.-The Herald
