Mine Entra introduces new programme
AS the build-up to this year’s Mining, Engineering, Transport and Construction Exhibition (Mine Entra) gathers momentum, organisers have announced the introduction of a ‘Buyers’ Programme’ aimed at fostering direct connection between suppliers and stakeholders from various mining companies.
The specialised exhibition is in its 27th edition and will be held from October 9-11 at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo under the theme “Unearthing Success: The Mining Value Chains, Innovation and Industrialisation Nexus”. The event was initially set for July before being postponed.
More than 250 direct exhibitors have so far registered for the expo with 19 international exhibitors representing four foreign nations signing up.
Zimbabwe International Trade Fair
In its latest statement, the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company, which is hosting the expo in collaboration with the mining sector, said the Mine Entra Buyers’ Programme will connect exhibitors with relevant buyers through dynamic speed networking sessions, facilitating one-on-one meetings with influential procurement decision-makers.
“This innovative programme is designed to create meaningful connections between exhibitors and key decision-makers, enhancing collaboration within the entire trade show ecosystem, including attendees, suppliers, service providers, organisers, and the Government,” reads the statement.
“As we look ahead to Mine Entra 2024, our focus will be on sustainable economic development and diversification, emphasising three transformative pillars, value chains, innovation, and industrialisation.”
With mining contributing about 13 percent to Zimbabwe’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), there has never been a more crucial time to leverage these growth opportunities, said the organisers.
By facilitating targeted interactions during the Buyers’ Programme, it is hoped that this will enhance deal-making opportunities as exhibitors will showcase cutting-edge technologies and services, directly connecting with qualified buyers to drive procurement decisions.
“Under the Mine Entra Hosted Buyers Programme, pre-selected industry buyers will attend pre-scheduled meetings with exhibitors in exchange for having their attendance costs sponsored by the ZITF Company,” reads the statement.
Every year the Mine Entra Expo offers a comprehensive view of the mining value chain, connecting key elements from geological surveys that reveal untapped resources to the essential processes of exploration and development.
The platform highlights the importance of mining investment and financing, showcasing innovative smelting and processing techniques, while featuring advanced equipment that transforms raw materials into valuable assets.-chrocnile
