Zimbabwe Agricultural Show attracts 560 exhibitors

The 2024 edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) that kicked off on Monday in Harare has attracted 560 exhibitors both foreign and local from different sectors showcasing their various products.

The show is organised around the agri-produce, tobacco, cotton, livestock and commercial exhibitions sections.

When a New Ziana crew visited the 78 000 square meters exhibition centre on Monday, most exhibitors were putting final touches on their exhibitions in preparation for adjudicators for annual awards, who were expected to visit them.

Vehicles loaded with furniture were lining the main entrance to the ZAS exhibition centre and as of today in the morning, a few companies were yet to complete setting up their stands, with the majority ready to roll.

The New Ziana crew observed that security was also tightened further confirming ZAS’s announcement that it put great emphasis on safety and security of both exhibitors and visitors, with wider and more modern CCTV cameras having been installed, in addition to drones.

Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi is expected to officially open the show this afternoon.

This year the show is running under the theme “Cultivating Prosperity.

Growing Business. Innovating for change. Nurturing our Future.”

ZAS is an annual six-day show that provides a one-stop solution for business and agriculture value chain players, often attracting about 200

000 people.

Exhibitors from Pakistan, Japan, the Netherlands, Brazil, Malawi, Italy, Botswana, South Africa and Turkey are some of the foreign exhibitors taking part in this year’s edition of the ZAS.

Apart from the exhibition, ZAS is also expected to host a series of targeted business events, including business conferences and networking sessions.-ebisnessweekl
