How to start investing on the ZSE

Step 1: Registration

Retail investors have 3 options that they can use when participating in the capital market.

This is a financial market where long-term debt and equity securities are traded. (Stocks, Reits, ETFs & Unit trusts)

The 3 options

  1. Brokers
  2. Ctrade https://www.ctrade.co.zw/
  3. Zse direct https://zsedirect.co.zw/

The latter 2 have web-based platforms and mobile applications that you can download, register, and start trading/investing on the capital market.

Requirements

Copy of ID

Proof of residence/ bank statement with address/ tel-one bill etc

Bank account Zwl (& USD account if you intend to invest on VFEX)

Step 2 Action

Once you have completed the registration process, it’s the start of your investment journey.

Research is key, read company reports, financial statements, newspapers, and articles.

Most importantly exercise risk management.
