Women’s bank now 85% complete

The Minister of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development, Nyasha Chikwinya says the much-awaited women’s microfinance bank is now 85% complete.

The first women’s bank in the country set to provide financial assistance to women entrepreneurs is expected to open soon.

In an interview after touring the facility’s main branch in Harare today, Minister Chikwinya said significant progress has been made as it is now almost 85% complete.

The bank is expected to transform the lives of Zimbabwean women as they will be trained on financial literacy before getting access to funding.

While a number of people might be in business, financial management remains a challenge for many, a development which has led to the collapse of potential business.–b24
