Organisers look forward to bigger, better Kwekwe Business Expo

PREPARATIONS for the 11th edition of the Kwekwe Business Expo are well underway with organisers confident that this year’s edition will attract more exhibitors.

The exhibition makes a return after a two-year hiatus owing to the Covid-19 outbreak which saw economic activity grinding to halt worldwide.

This year’s event, which will be held under the theme “Balancing between the Covid-19 impact and economic sustainability” and will run from 29 September to 1 October at the Kwekwe Mining Museum.
The chairperson of the Kwekwe Publicity Association, organisers of the Kwekwe Expo, Mr Eric Musesengwe said the annual event is expected to be bigger and better given that most businesses are eager to market themselves.

“We are currently seized with preparations where we are marketing and publicising the event so that people become aware that the event has returned after the Covid-19 break. We are therefore expecting more exhibitors at this years’ event,” said Mr Musesengwe.

He said most businesses were yet to recover from the effects of Covid-19 lockdown hence the theme.
“We are targeting about 60 exhibitors for this year’s event, up from 37 in 2019 when we held our 10th edition.

“As you are aware, the economy had a two-year stagnation and most businesses are yet to find their feet. We are therefore encouraging them to seize the opportunity to exhibit their businesses during the expo,” he said.-ebusinessweekly
