Among the traditional exhibitors are the Midlands State University (MSU), Grain Marketing Board (GMB), the Zimbabwe Republic Police and the Environmental Management Agency (EMA).

Midlands Show Society vice president, Mr Emmanuel Zimbandu, said all was set for the 2022 edition.

“The Midlands Show roars into life tomorrow (today) at the show grounds in Gweru. We have 15 new exhibitors who include Errymaple Group of Schools, Surrey Group, Valley Seeds, Sisters College, Zimdef and Tsapo Investments, among others,” he said in an interview.

Mr Zimbandu said 75 percent of expected exhibitors had already confirmed participation and were on the ground putting final touches on their stands.

“We have upped our game in terms of preparations and we are admitting the late comers so that we accommodate everyone,” he said.

“There are some stands that are still empty but we hope some will be taken up.”

Mr Zimbandu said the first day was dedicated for business-to-business interactions with a business conference on Friday.

“Thursday and Friday are days for businesses where they are expected to meet fellow traders and possible clients.

The big day is Saturday where the show will be officially opened.

Best exhibitors will be honoured at the same event,” he said.-ebusinessweekly
